What are even statuses?
EventPipe is pleased to announce the implementation of additional event level statuses to help your team track the lifecycle of your events.
Going forward, the event statuses will be expanded to include all of the following:
- Inactive
- The default status when an event is created. Guests will see a message informing them to check back later as hotels will be available soon.
- Configured
- A status your team can set manually to indicate internally that an event is set up to be set to the Active status. Guests will see a message informing them to check back later as hotels will be available soon.
- Active
- A status your team can set manually when you are ready for guests to interact with your booking site. Assuming that housing settings are open, guests will be able to book. Otherwise, guests will see a message informing them to check back later as hotels will be available soon.
- Closed
- The event status will automatically be set to Closed when your event has concluded if it was previously in the Active status.
- Guests visiting the booking site will be told that the event has concluded.
- Reconciled
- This event status can be set manually by your team when you are satisfied that all post event accounting is complete.
- Canceled
- This event status can be set manually by your team to indicate on the booking site that an event has been canceled.
Each status change will be recorded in the activity log alongside the name of the team member who updated the status.
