EventPipe allows users to customize the default timing for group block releases through event level fields. First, navigate to the event settings by locating the event and clicking the blue "Edit Event" button.
Housing company users can choose if they would like newly created group blocks for an event to release on a set Duration (# of days from creation) or a set Date.
When adding or editing an Event, the option can be found in the Hotel Information section.
The default for new events is “Duration”, which was the only previous option available in EventPipe. When selecting “Date”, you will see the adjacent input field asking for the “Default Group Release Date” which can be selected via a calendar popup.
Once a Default Group Release Date is set, all Group Blocks created by your booking site users from that point forward will release on the date you set.
This setting can be changed on a per hotel basis, if you choose, by updating the Property Policies page of a specific hotel.
