How do I join the waitlist?

If you want to book a room at a hotel and the inventory is not available, your next step depends on whether or not the company has waitlist turned on. If a company does NOT have the waitlist option, you will need to reach out to them directly or book an alternative choice. If the the company does have waitlist on, here's how you join and what you can expect.

Once you enter dates and traveler information on the land page and click Search, you are brought to the hotel list page. If there are nights of your stay dates unavailable, the hotel list page will reflect certain flags that make it clear whether the event has waitlist on or off.

If you want to move forward with joining the waitlist, you will select Choose Your Room. From the available options if there are multiple, select the room you would like to join the waitlist for and click Reserve Room.

Many times in order to fulfill a stay, guests will book separate reservation across multiple room types. Please note, if you are able to book one bed type on a specific night of a stay and another bed type for the duration, you cannot merge these reservations.

After clicking Reserve Room, you will enter your information as if you were making a reservation, including entering your guest information, selecting if you would like booking protection (if its available), and entering your credit card info. You can clearly see the Waitlisted nights by looking a the Reservation Summary.

Note: Please note, you are able to hold a reservation that has both Waitlisted and confirmed nights. Your reservation is NOT fully confirmed until all nights are confirmed. Please refer to your reservation's specific waitlist policy for more details by looking up your reservation in the Manage Booking portal.

It's very important to read all the associated Reservation Policies before joining the waitlist because if the reservation becomes confirmed, you consent to all listed policies

The last portion before officially joining is reading the Waitlist Disclaimer. Please note, each company you book for can have separate policies. It's very important you read all parts of the Waitlist Disclaimer prior to joining.

Most importantly, it's important to understand that if you are confirmed off the waitlist, your card will be charged whatever the amount next to Pending Charge shows.

After reviewing, click Book now to join the Waitlist.

After you click Book now, you will be brought to a confirmation screen that shows you joined the Waitlist. See an example below.
